2007-2008 Programme as pdf

The meeting is being held at Field House, Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The annual academic unit meeting is being held at the Thackray Medical Museum, St James's University Hospital, Leeds. There may be a small charge for parking in the museum car park. Their postcode is LS9 7LN but the Thackray Medical Museum website also has directions.

The annual all-day meeting is being organised by the Anaesthetic Department of the Hull and East Yorkshire NHS Trust and  is being held at the Village Hotel Hull. Registration is between 0930 - 1000h. The programme above includes a registration form and directions. The meeting is free to members of the Society and will attract 5 CME points but please register before the 8th of April 2008 to facilitate catering arrangements. The form can be printed off and returned by post or you can email your details and any special dietary requirements to Michelle Dixon.

The annual all-day meeting is being organised by the Department of Anaesthesia, York Hospitals NHS Trust and  is being held in the Army Medical Services Training Centre, York. Registration is between 0930-1000h. Optional demonstrations of the field hospital simulator, and the opportunity to experience chemical and biological protection, will be available after the main meeting.

It is free to members of the YSA and will attract 5 CME points but please note you are required to book before the day of the meeting to facilitate arrangements. There is a form with the programme above which can be printed off and returned.

On "Different Perspectives". Penetrating trauma, gunshot wounds, explosives, chemical weapons, helicopter evacuation and non-medical anaesthetists were once largely the preserve of the military but with the rise of gun culture, terrorism and asymmetric threats, they could be in your casualty department tomorrow. The meeting will explore common areas of practice viewed from a different perspective. Optional demonstrations of a field hospital operating theatre, chemical and biological protection, and SimMan are available after the main meeting. Registration is between 0900-0930. The meeting is being held in the Army Medical Services Training Centre, York. It is free to members of the YSA and will attract 5 CME points but please note you are required to book before the day of the meeting to facilitate arrangements.
